The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings made with The Royal Hotel Bridlington. Please note that for promotional bookings the relevant additional terms and conditions should be consulted.

All prices are per person per night unless otherwise stated, and are inclusive of VAT.
A supplement is charged for single occupancy of a double/twin/family bedroom.
Standard rates include Full English Breakfast (B&B) or Dinner and Full English Breakfast (DB&B) in respect of the Dinner Bed and Breakfast rate.
Other meals, snacks, light refreshments and alcoholic drinks are charged as extra unless offered in a special promotion.
Bookings can be confirmed by the provision of a non-returnable deposit. This is normally equal to £10 per person per night or £50 per person per week of accommodation booked. Except for special events e.g. Christmas, New Year and certain weekends throughout the year where a higher deposit would be required.
This deposit will be held against the room until the final account is settled.
The deposit may be made by cheque or cash direct to the hotel or by debit or credit card (surcharge of 2.5% for credit cards, 3.5% AMEX) over the telephone.
Alterations to bookings, such as dates or name changes must be made in writing and incur £20 charge and will be accepted at management discretion.
Payment is accepted using Cash, Cheque, VISA, MasterCard, Delta, Electron, Maestro, Solo and AMEX.
A charge of 2.5% is to be levied for the use of Credit Cards. 3.5% for AMEX. Debit Cards may be used free of charge.
No Smoking Policy
All of the building is non-smoking. Please feel free to smoke in the garden area where there are ash trays on the tables or at the front of the building.
Please note that we reserve the right to charge for any damage caused by guests smoking (see below also). In a bedroom this may also include additional nights accommodation charges in order to allow the room to ventilate prior to re-letting.
Damage to Hotel Property
We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the hotels property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to guest's credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will however make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.
Where a Group of people are booked into the Hotel (a Group being more than one room) by a Group Leader then the responsibility for the conduct and actions of all of the members of the Group is the responsibility of the Group Leader.
Arrival and Check-Out
Rooms are available from 2.00pm on the arrival date. Please advise us if you are likely to arrive after 9.00pm.
You are requested to vacate your room by 10.00a.m on the day of departure.
If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so as far in advance as possible. Both parties should endeavor to re-let the accommodation. Should neither party succeed then the person making the reservation remains legally liable to pay for that accommodation.
However, if it has not been possible to re-let the accommodation, we reserve the right to charge for the full stay booked. In most cases this liability can be covered by insurance. We therefore strongly recommend that cancellation insurance is taken out.
If you cancel your stay, you must inform The Royal Hotel in writing before the arrival date.Cancellation charges depend upon when we receive your written instruction prior to the date of your scheduled arrival. No-shows will be charged at the full rate for the reservation.
56 days or more | Deposit returned less an administration charge of £20 per room
15 - 55 days | 50% of total holiday price
14 days or less | 100% of total holiday price
Workshops & Retreats Cancellations
Monies paid are non refundable. However if you cancel and you find someone to take your place, your monies paid can be transferred to them.
If you cancel and we manage to refill your workshop place then your monies paid will be refunded in full (less admin charge) within 2 weeks after the event.
If you cancel and we manage to fill your workshops space and your accommodation then your monies paid will be refunded (less admin charge) within 2 weeks after the event.
If however we only manage to refill your workshop place then that proportion of your monies paid will be refunded (less admin charge).
If we resell your workshop place and part of your accommodation – that proportion will be refunded (less admin charge)
For the avoidance of doubt monies paid refers to all deposits paid and full payment or liability for full payment that is due six weeks prior to the commencement of the workshops or retreat.
Admin Charge refers to £20 per person per booking.
Your Personal Details
Your personal details will not be sold on or passed on to third parties.
The Royal Hotel does not accept any responsibility for theft or damage to vehicles and their contents whilst parked on The Royal Hotel property. Parking is done entirely at the vehicle owner's risk.
Keys are issued on loan to guests for their convenience and security. Keys must not be loaned to any person other than those occupying the relevant rooms. The loss of a key will result in a £5.00 surcharge.
We welcome all guests and their mode of transport. We can provide a secure, covered docking station for your mobility scooter (subject to availability). Extra Charge Applies. The hotel accepts no liability for any theft or damage howsoever caused.
The hotel offers WiFi throughout. The hotels accepts no responsibility for any corruption or damage to any data, software or hardware.
